電子音楽の歴史に名高いアーティストは誰かと聞けば人はシュトックハウゼンだ、クラフトワークだと、男の名前ばかりが挙がるだろう。しかしそれもまたこの先変わっていくのだと最近思う。デリア・ダービシャー、ローリー・シュピーゲルやポーリン・オリヴェロス、ドーリス・ノートンにスザンヌ・チアーニと、電子音楽に関わって来た女性の歴史は本当は広く深い。加えて近年は、我らが日本のシンセ・シスターズ、ステラー・OM・ソースやマリア・ミネルヴァなど、シンセサイザーと女性の関係の深化は実に甚だしい。彼女たちはその歴史を確実に塗り替えていく。このアルバムを聴きながら思ったのは、きっとその先に広がる世界は差別と不平等の鎖から解き放たれた、今日よりも真実味のある世界に違いないということ。---カジワラトシオ（ヒト族レコード・Antibodies Collective)

Crossbredでもおなじみ、クラブでもノイズでも隔てなく活動してしまう希有なデュオ、Rie LambdollとMAYUKoの電子音楽ユニット、シンセ・シスターズ待望の新作。自由度の高い電子音素描集といえる前作『Aube』(2014)から一転、この『Euphoria』は、特定のイメージ（Euphoria）を主題にシンセとヴォイスのみで造り出されたトータル・アルバムだ。と言っても、アンビエントでも癒しのニューエイジ音楽でもメディテーション音楽でもない。プログレでもなければヴェイパーウェイヴでもテクノでもない。これは2020年代を目前にした今、アンダーグラウンド発の、ニッポン・シンセミュージックの深化を証明し、未来を切り開くものだ。また、クラブ爆音再生、BGM、ホームリスニング等、再生音量の度合いでガラッと表情を変えてしまう作品でもあり、各状況に応対するこの品質の高さは、第三のメンバーと言って過言でないエンジニアのKabamixの手腕だ。装丁：木村銀次。

Rie Lambdoll and MAYUKo are the two euphoric Synth Sisters, Osaka-based musicians who also comprise Crossbread. “Euphoria” is the duo’s long-awaited second release, following their 2014 debut. This release consists entirely of new Synth Sister recordings, featuring MAYUKo’s synthesizers, and Rie’s electric piano and synthesizers as well as her celestial vocals. The euphoria on offer here features equal parts of angelic arpeggios, seraphic sequences, meditative melodies and transcendental timbres, masterfully mixed and mastered by Kabamix The pieces here, all composed and produced by Rie Lambdoll, combine drifting drones with rhythmic elements sure to appeal to fans of Tangerine Dream; (Terry) Riley-esque meditations melding with psychedelic musings in blissful ease.
