「細田の川」唄：岩田栄吉（浦安）三味線：前田治郎助（浦安）

　新川地曳と同じく地元江戸川区葛西を題材とした演目。江戸川区上篠崎にあったと伝えられる阿弥陀堂を舞台にした段物。筋立ては若い娘が当世流行りの着物に蛇の目の傘をさし、銚子の観音様に願掛けに行く途中に葛西領篠崎街道に差し掛かったものの道に迷ってしまったところに「細田の奴」が現れ誘惑する。やっとの思いで難を逃れた娘だったが、今度は弥陀堂の道楽和尚が現れてまたもや娘を誘惑し…といった茶番劇。この和尚さんと娘の絡みというのはおしゃらく、万作、小念仏の題材としてよく出てくるシチュエーションである。今回収録したのは怪しげな和尚が「ナムカラタンノ　トラヤーヤー」という経文を唱えつつ登場する場面だ。
