「よかよか飴屋（鈴木主水）」 唄：高橋八五郎（葛西）

　よかよか飴屋とは、全国津々浦々を派手な衣装で飴を売りながら歩く遊芸人のことで、葛西・浦安にも訪れていた。その飴屋が唄う唄がおしゃらくの演目に取り入れられたもの。節回しは共通だが唄の内容は様々で、今回収録したのは八木節をはじめ様々な口説き節の題材として非常に有名な「鈴木主水」の物語だ。おしゃらくの特徴である三味線は入らず、団扇太鼓を打ち鳴らしながら唄われる。飴屋の唄はおしゃらくに取り入れられると共に、飴屋がおしゃらくの唄を他の地域へ運ぶ役割も果たした。東京の多摩地域にも「新川地曳」が伝わっているが、これは飴屋が同地の農民に伝えたものだ。（写真提供：藤本秀康氏）
